Mediators from DCM joined local service representatives at an event to mark Restorative Justice Week 2022 at the end of November.
The event was organised by Tusla and the Childhood Development Initiative and took place in Fettercairn Community Centre, Tallaght.
On the day, presenters from local community services spoke about their restorative practice journeys and how they use it in their work and daily lives. Mary O Flaherty, from Dublin Community Mediation, told the audience about the work of DCM and described how mediation works alongside Restorative Practice.
A group of children from both the local primary and secondary schools then spoke about and demonstrated a Restorative Circle.
It was a very enjoyable and informative day and gave DCM representatives an opportunity to talk about the work of the organisation, to network with local services and to celebrate and talk all things Restorative Practice!
