DCM reps meet local support groups

South Dublin Joint Policing Committee invited DCM to an event in SDCC County Hall which took place on 23rd February 2024. This was an opportunity for DCM representatives to meet local community health, addiction and safety agencies. Sharon Mc Allorum, Brian Sheridan and Mary O Flaherty attended the event on behalf of DCM. They engaged with all the local groups there on the day, explained how DCM might support their work in the community, and handed out DCM business cards. It was a very positive experience. DCM has emailed all the groups present on the day. Soon after the day, Clondalkin Addiction Support Programme (CASP) invited DCM to speak to their workers about mediation, which happened on 19th March 2024, when Sharon and Mary went to their premises. The Family Support workers say that the service provided by DCM will certainly support the families they work with.

Some of the other groups we engaged with are: Saoirse Domestic Violence Servises, HSE Sláinte care Healthy Communities-Clondalkin and Tallaght, Barnardos. We look forward to developing links with these local groups.
