On 21st February 2024, Blathnaidh Colhoun (Chairperson DCM), Brian Sheridan and Mary O Flaherty met with Chief Superintendent Armstrong, Inspector Duggan and Inspector Smithers in Crumlin Garda Station. The DCM spokespersons outlined the work of DCM and explained how both mediation and CINERGY Conflict Management Coaching works. This converstion is a followup to the progress made to date in the pilot project with the Gardaí. The next step will involve DCM personnel presenting to Community Gardaí about mediation and DCM, with a view to DCM supporting the Gardaí with community disputes. Then a review will take place in July 2024 about how the project is working. DCM is proud to support An Garda Síochána in resolving disputes in the community.
